Extend your exploration of the animal and plant kingdom with a visit to Tracy Aviary in Liberty Park. A rare gem in the community, Tracy Aviary is only one of two AZA-accredited aviaries in the country. Although the Aviary carries a long history (established in 1938), in the past several years Tracy Aviary has blossomed. Today it offers eight acres of developed forest and gardens and is home to over 400 beautiful birds representing 136 species as well as 350 unique plants. Tracy Aviary is technically in the Central City neighborhood, but it’s easily accessible from the Foothill/University neighborhood, and the curiosity and avian awe it will inspire makes it well worth the visit.
